Fitzharrys is a good school that is really moving forward because of everyone’s creativity, consistency, care and commitment. It is an exciting time to join us.
All new teachers benefit from our induction programme and are supported to get the very best start. We pay attention to the little but important details so that new colleagues feel part of the school and can settle into teaching quickly. We provide structured support to newly qualified teachers with great success.
We are a school community committed to getting the best from and for everyone. Our comprehensive and responsive CPD programme nurtures and encourages everyone’s talents and practice. There are many chances for teachers to take a lead in delivering training, coaching or mentoring colleagues. This reflective and developmental approach drives the quality of teaching and learning as well as the enjoyment and fulfilment of colleagues.
We were rated as good by Ofsted in June 2016 and our students achieved 68% A* to C in English and maths GCSE in August 2016. Our mission statement begins “We are a loving school, committed to the nurturing and safeguarding of everyone. Our values of Growth, Ownership, Ambition, Leadership and Success underpin the decency, honesty and empathy consistent with the flourishing of humanity.” These are high ambitions, but all part of working at a school that is as special as Fitzharrys. We hope you are excited at the prospect of joining us.
