Opportunity: Super & Extra-Curricular
Opportunity is one of our core values at Fitzharrys School. As well as the myriad opportunities within the classroom, students have access to super- and extra-curricular activities to enhance their learning both directly in relation to their school subjects and beyond, to support their wider personal development.
Follow Fitzharrys School on Facebook and Instagram to hear more about the super-curricular and extra-curricular opportunities on offer for our students.
Trips & Events
We believe that opportunities are for all, and we know that trips and events are crucial to enhance student feelings of belonging in school, as well as strengthening relationships with their peers, and creating memories. Our ambitious vision for trips and events is set out below:
Details about upcoming trips and events are available in our termly curriculum newsletters, with letters sent home ahead of each trip or event.
We work hard to keep costs down for trips and events, and it is our intention that all students have access to core opportunities. Please contact us and let the school office know if a cost proves a barrier for your child attending a trip or event.
If you would like to make a voluntary contribution to support another child to attend a trip, we would be enormously grateful. You may do so by bank transfer to the following account, quoting the name of the trip as the reference or citing "general trip fund":

Clubs & Activities
Our current Clubs Timetable can be found on our Clubs & Activities page.
Our ambition is that every student at Fitzharrys School is a member of at least one club. Our Year 7 students have a chance to explore the full offer at our Opportunities Fair in Term 1.
Curricular Challenges
We encourage our students to take their learning beyond the classroom. Our Heads of Faculty have put together a set of termly challenges to help students explore their subjects, making use of resources and local opportunities to connect deeply and in engaging ways with their current fields of study. This is a fantastic way for students to take ownership of their learning and to pursue their interests still further.
