Fitzharrys School Association

The Fitzharrys School Association (FSA) is Fitzharrys' equivalent of a Parent Teacher Association (PTA), which exists to raise extra funds which will be used to support the work of the school. The FSA is run by a friendly committee of parents, carers and staff who plan social events and fun activities to raise money to go towards new school resources and to help improve facilities.

Why do we need to raise money?

The mission of the FSA is to raise funds to improve our children's educational opportunities and school experience.  Fundraising allows Fitzharrys to continue to offer the 'extras' which are so important in a school and not covered by existing funds.

How can you get involved?

All parents, carers and staff are automatically members of the FSA and there is an open invitation to attend committee meetings. We are always very happy to welcome new faces to the committee and are very grateful for volunteers to help at events.  We meet roughly once a term to hold an FSA meeting where we talk about fundraising ideas and plan events; meetings and events will be advertised on this page as well as on social media pages.  For more information about joining the FSA or upcoming FSA events, you can contact the school's main office or send an email the FSA Secretary, Mrs Holt at sholt@fitzharrys.oxon.sch.uk

Join the FSA Committee

FSA meetings were originally held roughly once a term, usually in the evening at the Spread Eagle pub on Northcourt Road.

The next FSA committee meeting will held on Tuesday 28th March 2023, 7.30pm, @ Spread Eagle pub (Northcourt Road). All are welcome! If you plan to attend, please register your interest with Mrs Holt, FSA Secretary at sholt@fitzharrys.oxon.sch.uk so we know to expect you.

All parents, carers and staff are warmly invited to attend FSA meetings. There is no pressure to sign up to a role or lead in the organisation of a fundraiser, but all ideas and offers are welcome!  The FSA committee look forward to welcoming you to our meetings and to the team.

Fundraising Focus

Each year, the Fitzharrys School Association sets a fundraising target. Last year, the FSA raised money for a new projector for the Main Hall - now installed and being enjoyed by the school community on a regular basis including during assemblies, presentations, school shows, open events, community hires and more besides.

A big thank you to all the FSA supporters who have helped make this possible!

This year, the FSA will be focusing on fundraising for some inspiring, modern and literature-themed Wall Art to update the interior of the Humanities department, and we hope to continue this project into next year, with a new focus on the English department.  Help kickstart our fundraising goals by donating to our new GoFundMe!

FSA Fundraiser: CD/DVD Collection

Do you have a stack of CDs that you never play because your music is now all on your phone? Do you have a library of DVDs, but always stream what you want to watch and no longer have a player to watch them on anyway? Want to declutter your house to create space for other things, but don't want to throw away your collections? Then the FSA have the answer!...

We would love to take all your old CDs and DVDs and try to turn them into funds that will be used to benefit our students.  As tech moves on, recycling old purchases to generate funds for a good cause is a great idea and can be a win/win for all involved.

How to donate...

Please drop off all CD and DVD donations to the school Reception. We will be collecting them in over the next few weeks during school hours Mon-Fri, up until Friday 23rd June

There will also be two weekend dates available for you to come in and drop them off if preferable: Saturday 10th June and Saturday 24th June, between 10am - 1pm both days.

We are happy to take anything as long as the CDs and DVDs are in their cases with a barcode on them, and they are in a decent condition.  In fact, the rarer the better as those are likely to raise more money!

We are very grateful for any donations and for your continued support. Many thanks in advance,

FSA GOFUNDME

The FSA 200 Club

The FSA 200 Club is a monthly lottery draw that is run by the Fitzharrys School Association (FSA) to raise money for Fitzharrys School, particularly for larger projects which will benefit the greatest number of students.

FSA 200 Club: Application Details

Application to join the FSA 200 Club lottery is possible at any time of the academic year. Anyone over the age of 18 can buy shares. Each share is sold at £5.00 per month, payable by Standing Order.

The size of the prize money awarded will depend on the number of shares sold, but if all 200 shares are sold, there will be 3 prizes each month of £250, £100 & £50. The total prize money will equate to 50% of the total monthly 200 Club income, with the other 50% going to the FSA towards current fundraising goals.

Please note: monthly prizes will be reduced proportionately and in line with the percentages indicated when the total number of shares sold is fewer than 200. When the total number of shares sold is less than 100, prize money will be split into two prizes only. First prize will be 30% of the 200 Club monthly income, and second prize will be 20%. This still equates to 50% of the total monthly 200 Club income.

Please read our FSA 200 Club Application for more information.
