Fitzharrys School Association
The Fitzharrys School Association (FSA) is Fitzharrys' equivalent of a Parent Teacher Association (PTA), which exists to raise extra funds which will be used to support the work of the school. The FSA is run by a friendly committee of parents, carers and staff who plan social events and fun activities to raise money to go towards new school resources and to help improve facilities.
Why do we need to raise money?
The mission of the FSA is to raise funds to improve our children's educational opportunities and school experience. Fundraising allows Fitzharrys to continue to offer the 'extras' which are so important in a school and not covered by existing funds.
How can you get involved?
All parents, carers and staff are automatically members of the FSA and there is an open invitation to attend committee meetings. We are always very happy to welcome new faces to the committee and are very grateful for volunteers to help at events. We meet roughly once a term to hold an FSA meeting where we talk about fundraising ideas and plan events; meetings and events will be advertised on this page as well as on social media pages. For more information about joining the FSA or upcoming FSA events, you can contact the school's main office or send an email the FSA Secretary, Mrs Holt at sholt@fitzharrys.school
FUNDRAISING FOCUS 2023-24
Each year, the Fitzharrys School Association sets a fundraising target. This year, the FSA are aiming to raise £5000 for lots more inspiring, modern and literature-themed Wall Art to update the interior of the Mathematics and MFL departments.
So far, £4,499.27 has been raised! This is approximately 90% of our target. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our GoFundMe, everyone in the FSA 200 Club school lottery (see below for more details), and also to everyone who came along to support our autumn FSA Quiz Night and the Giant Jumble Sale in January.
Last year, the FSA raised money for 8 wall art items for the English and the Humanities departments which were installed in early October and are now bringing the WOW factor to these areas - they have made a huge difference and are having a very positive impact on staff and students alike.
A big thank you to all the FSA supporters who have helped make this possible!

CAN YOU HELP US REACH OUR GOAL OF RAISING £1000 ON GOFUNDME THIS YEAR?
Following the brilliant success of the Wall Art installation in our Humanities and English departments last year, we are hoping to raise money this year to brighten up more of our well-used areas.
Inspirational and informative wall art in schools can have a transformative effect on students; it is a great way to raise pupils' aspirations as well as raise a smile. We have had such a great response from students, staff and parents on the art already installed, and we would love to spread this enjoyment to other parts of the school.
Working closely with the school leadership team, key areas have been identified around the school that would greatly benefit from a new look with wall art displays. This will help bring school walls to life, inspire learning and add a huge WOW factor, making these spaces more inviting and invigorating places to be.
This year, we aim to raise money for wall art for the Maths department, and depending on how much we raise, we are hoping that we can bring a similarly spectacular transformation to the MFL department and other key areas around the school site.
Our developing plans for the Maths department is to have bespoke, maths-themed wall art that will wrap around the walls of the department’s staircase, as well as art on the stair treads themselves, which will totally transform the area (see photo of our Humanities department). If funds allow, we will plan to reinvigorate the MFL staircase and lobby in a similar way. To this end, we are hoping to raise £1000 on this Go Fund Me to kickstart our fundraising goals this academic year.
We know that this is a particularly difficult time financially for many people, and want pass on our sincere thanks to you all for your generosity in donating. We really appreciate every single donation and are so grateful for your support.
The FSA 200 Club
The FSA 200 Club is a monthly lottery draw that is run by the Fitzharrys School Association (FSA) to raise money for Fitzharrys School, particularly for larger projects which will benefit the greatest number of students.
