The Fitzharrys School Association (FSA) is Fitzharrys' equivalent of a Parent Teacher Association (PTA), which exists to raise extra funds which will be used to support the work of the school. The FSA is run by a committee of parents, carers and staff who plan social events and fun activities and to raise money to go towards new school resources and to help improve facilities.
The mission of the FSA is to raise funds to improve our children's educational opportunities and school experience. Fundraising allows Fitzharrys to continue to offer the 'extras' which are so important in a school and not covered by existing funds.
We are always very happy to welcome new committee members and are very grateful for volunteers to help at events. We meet once a term to hold an FSA meeting, talk about fundraising ideas and plan events. One of the ways the FSA raises funds for Fitzharrys School is through our 200 Club. This is essentially a school-based lottery run by the FSA Committee. Anyone over the age of 16 can buy shares in the FSA 200 Club; these cost £5 per month. Shareholders are entered into a draw every month to win a cash prize and there are 2 bonus draws each year. The size of the monthly prize money will depend on the number of shares sold, but if all 200 shares are sold, there will be 3 prizes up for grabs each month of £250, £100 & £50.
